My masters are the artisans of distant cultures who have time-honed rare, arcane alchemic processes.
My studio is a laboratory. I grind, boil, mix, concoct, scrape, sand and layer on wood, paper and canvas in the studio and now in the digital lab.
A painting does not always involve paint. The juxtaposition of disparate, viscous matter, as an amalgam of macro and micro particles, communicates fertile abstraction: ripe for multiple interpretations.
