COURSE OFFERED: GETTING THE DIRT ON PAINT
A unique course combining ecological painting practices with Nihonga, traditional Japanese mineral pigment painting materials and techniques.
• Emphasis is on paint-making from natural resources, abstracting from nature and painting from the heart with mindfulness.
• Incorporates art and science as well as some Japanese language and history.
• Adaptable for grades 5 through 12 and can be held in schools, cultural centers, botanic garden classrooms, and camps.
Length of residency is variable.
